Hello!

My name is Brettina and I am a Michigan wedding and family photographer (but will absolutely travel to you!) I was always a bit different from my family growing up. I've always questioned why and how and typically went against the grain. I was a smart kid with good grades and test scores. The expectations for me were doctor, lawyer, etc. But I wanted to create. I wanted to write. I wanted to take pictures. I ended up graduating from Oakland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Creative Writing.

From there, I worked in Marketing and Website Design for three years. I was miserable going into an office every single day. I started to get into photography again as something to do outside of the mundane every day. I took a mentorship with my favorite photographer ever (shoutout to APaige Photography) and just went with it. I quit my job with no concrete plan in place and watched my business soar. I put my heart and soul into this to help you relive your day and your moments over and over again.

Don't feel comfortable in front of the camera? No problem! I don't either! I totally get it. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and beautiful, because you are. As a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I strive for inclusivity in my personal life as well as my photography. I am a huge advocate for capturing the world you see before you and not a fake perception of that world. I am welcoming of all and will photograph all regardless of race, religion, gender expression and identity, sexual orientation, age, size, ability, ethnicity, or culture. Our world is diverse and my portfolio should be too. Think we would be a good fit? Contact me today. I'd love to work with you.

"I do not even know how to express into words how beautifully Brettina captured every single emotion and moment on our day. Honestly, she has taken my breathe away and made me cry! I am forever grateful that we have these to look back on..they're like a whole movie without video! Brettina went above and beyond, giving artistic shots that look like they belong in a magazine, silly pics, and heartwarming moments. I am truly blown away by her talent, poise, and kind heart."

FAQ

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes. There would be an additional cost for travel accommodations.
I have a few places on my bucket list that I will offer discounted travel rates to including:
Hawaii, Italy, New Zealand, Seattle, NYC

When will I receive my photos?

For weddings, expect at least 3-6 weeks to receive all of your photos as they take the most time to go through and edit. For any other shoots, expect 1-3 weeks. In my busier months (ie. October) these lead times may be extended.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

You must let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you'd like to extend the session and the extra cost must be paid on the day of the event.

What is your editing style?

I do not over edit images. I will not edit your body to make you look skinnier/younger/etc. I believe everyone is beautiful and they should showcase that beauty. I do edit for lighting and colors to really make your images stand out from the rest and make them more aesthetically pleasing.

Do I have to order prints through you?

No. I provide a print release for all of my photo sessions so you are able to print your photos where you please.

Do you provide a second shooter?

All wedding packages come with a single photographer, me. For a second shooter, please add an additional $100/hour to any package.
